Marcus Garvey: Blogger?

Marcus Garvey

A few weeks ago, I invited Colin Grant, author of Negro with a Hat: The Rise and Fall of Marcus Garvey and His Dream of Mother Africa, to write a guest post for the blog. I was interested in his answer to a question about which I had thought a great deal, but feared I did not have the vast knowledge that Colin possesses about the subject: If Marcus Garvey were alive today, would he be blogging?

What do you think?

I’m running a poll on the sidebar of the blog and inviting readers to vote and/or leave a comment. The poll will run until Marcus Garvey’s earth day, August 17, 2010, which is when I will be publishing Colin’s post.

Stay tuned!

I definitely think Marcus Garvey would blog regularly. He was all about disseminating information, and blogs are today's way of doing such. He'd also have a social media management team who handled his Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn accounts, and he'd have a gazillion Twitter followers retweeting his blog post links, etc.

What a great thought! Great question!
